Disjunctive Tautologies as Synchronisation Schemes
In the ambient logic of classical second order propositional calculus, we solve the specification problem for a family of excluded middle like tautologies. These are shown to be realized by sequential simulations of specific communication schemes for which they provide a safe typing mechanism.
متن کاملSynchronisation in anticipative sensory-motor schemes
Assimilation schemes Assimilation schemes have been introduced by Swiss psychologist Jean Piaget, as dynamical structures assimilating the agent's environment (Piaget, 1952). In Piaget's theory, schemes are operating at all levels of an agent's life, from the biological levels where, for example, cells assimilate the nutrients around them in order to preserve their own structure, to the most ab...
متن کاملDescent Theory for Schemes
We give a complete characterization of the class of quasi-compact morphisms of schemes that are stable effective descent morphisms for the SCHEMESindexed category given by quasi-coherent sheaves of modules.
متن کاملComparison of two integration schemes for a micropolar plasticity model
Micropolar plasticity provides the capability to carry out post-failure simulations of geo-structures due to microstructural considerations and embedded length scale in its formulation. An essential part of the numerical implementation of a micropolar plasticity model is the integration of the rate constitutive equations. Efficiency and robustness of the implementation hinge on the type of int...
متن کاملA Complexity Theory for Labeling Schemes
In a labeling scheme the vertices of a given graph from a particular class are assigned short labels such that adjacency can be algorithmically determined from these labels. A representation of a graph from that class is given by the set of its vertex labels. Due to the shortness constraint on the labels such schemes provide space-efficient representations for various graph classes, such as pla...
